What is this?

Photograph the thing your child is holding. You will get a likely name and one detail worth looking at before you put it down. The name is a starting point, not the end of the conversation.

A note on names

A photograph can be wrong. Check the answer against what is in front of you before anyone touches a mushroom or a berry. If you want the slower version of this, the four-question leaf method teaches a child to arrive at the name on their own.
